A useful episode about the name of Allah Al-Jabbar (the compeller). This name was mentioned in the Quran one time, in surat Al-Hashr. This name is derived from the root “jabara” which linguistically has two meanings. The first is to force someone or something to do something. The other is to mend a broken bone or save someone from poverty. The name Al-Jabbar linguistically means arrogant and proud. Afterwards he shows the meaning of this name in relation to Allah and the effects of believing in this name.

Excellent talk given by Abdur Raheem Green about the mythological and the historical Jesus. This lecture also sheds some light on how this mythological Jesus, the doctrines of the trinity and original sin came about as well as how the early Christians were not concerned with the alleged death and resurrection of Jesus. The information mentioned in this lecture is from mostly Christian scholars and historians.

- English Lecturere : Bilal Philips
An interesting episode in English in which Sh. Bilal Philips shows the meaning of Allah’s name Al-‘Aziz (the Mighty) which is one of the most indicated Allah’s Names in the Quran. It is often mentioned with other names such as Ar-Raheem (the Most Merciful) and Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise). This name is derived from izza (power, strengthen, and dominance) and refers that Allah is able to take revenge on the wrongdoers and they cannot reply him. It also refers that Allah could not be forced to do something. We learn from this Name that we should trust in Allah, be certain that he is able to answer our supplications, seek strength from him only as He says, “Whosoever desires honor, power and glory, then to Allah belong all honor, power and glory…” and forgive all people while we are able to take revenge on them as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did with those who hurt him and tortured his companions even they tried to kill him.
- English Lecturere : Bilal Philips
An interesting episode in English in which Sh. Bilal Philips explains Allah’s name Al-Muhaimen (the Guardian). He shows that this name means the Guardian and the Supreme Witness Who watches over all that takes place in His creation so this meaning leads us to reflect on our thoughts, deeds and words. When we do the righteous deeds, Allah will guard us from evils through his mercy. Afterwards Sh. Bilal gives us an effective remedy against the evil thoughts which lead us to commit what Allah forbids.
